Hi there!

I’m Joelle, an Intern Psychotherapist currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I’m looking forward to supporting people as they navigate life’s challenges, big or small.

My approach to therapy is grounded in a person-centred perspective, where I prioritize creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and genuinely non-judgmental. I believe that each person’s story is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs, goals, and experiences. I’m drawn to approaches like Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which allow us to explore your story, recognize your strengths, and build practical tools that feel meaningful in your day-to-day life.

As a mom, I understand how complex and overwhelming life can feel at times, as well as the emotional ups and downs that can come with parenting and the postpartum experience. While I have a particular interest in supporting individuals through these stages, I welcome and enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life.

In our work together, you can expect a warm, compassionate, and collaborative environment. I value honesty, empathy, and respect, and I see therapy as a partnership where your voice and autonomy are important. My hope is to offer a space where you feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered in your therapeutic journey.

Therapeutic Approach
I work with you as a whole person — honouring your story and what matters most to you. I draw from evidence-based practices like client-centred therapy, Narrative Therapy, CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and tailor them to fit your life. Together, we'll set goals that reflect your values and vision. Therapy becomes a space where challenges aren't failures; they're part of the process. My role is to help you build resilience, learn from setbacks, and move toward the growth that feels meaningful to you.
