Are you currently completing your Master's degree and looking for a practicum placement? Flourish Psychotherapy Kingston is now accepting applications for Intern Psychotherapists starting September 2026. Please read the sections below for more information.
Please note that the January and May 2026 positions have been filled at this time.
Requirements for Practicum

You are a committed graduate student looking to gain a deeper understanding of the practical application of counselling and psychotherapy skills.

Obtain Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) status with the CRPO.

​Possess cultural competence, effective communication skills, and an eagerness to network.

Ability to maintain professionalism and follow ethical guidelines of the regulatory body applicable to you (i.e. CRPO).

Access to a laptop/computer with a camera and microphone is required, as well as a secure network connection in a private space to hold sessions as this is a virtual practice.

Previous experience in mental health (either professionally or through volunteer work) is viewed as an asset.

Available for at least 3 half days and one evening or weekend day.

Possess your own professional liability insurance in accordance with the RP (Qualifying) requirements through the CRPO.

Weekly one-on-one meetings between each student and Jessica to check in on administrative challenges and your own wellbeing from a peer perspective.​
